Invisible War

One of my fave, fave singers for the longest time is Julia Fordham. I could only describe her voice as haunting, never failing to give me a kick in the gut. She has a big following in Las Islas Filipinas and had done quite a number of concerts in Manila. One of her more popular songs is Love Moves in Mysterious Ways that that bitch Nina completely ruined.

I was playing random songs on my PC today when Invisible War suddenly went on. I did not even know that it was on my PC at all; indeed it's a welcome treat to once again listen to Ms Fordham's melancholic voice.

It has been a long time since I posted some songs, so here it goes... listen closely.

Invisible War
by Julia Fordham

Invisible war, seems we're fighting an invisible war
Strained manoeuvres, keeping silent score
In this invisible war
Every day I seem to lose you more
Both wishing it was like before
In this invisible war

Talk about a fine line between love and hate
We've lost more than our direction of late
Talk about a fine line between lovers and friends
We've never been lovers and now we're not even friends

In this invisible war, seems we're waging an invisible war
Every day I seem to lose you more
In this invisible war

It wounded deeply the scar is here to stay
Opening up at all the little things I do and say
You always want things to be as before
So I make you angry and you bleed a little more

In this invisible war, seems that we're waging an invisible war
Every day I seem to lose you more
In this invisible war

Want to go away
I still love you
Got to go away
I always love you
Got to be away
Time heals all wounds

I was rushing to buy something for Devon at Trinoma about to months ago when I heard a familiar voice singing Girlfriend. And then it hit me: It's JF's concert today! So I ran to the Atrium and there she was. I was so happy. I used to listen to her a lot during my UP days. Happy Ever After was my favorite, and still is. I love her so much.

ela: nasagot ko na yan noon pa... panahon pa ng hapon.

jt: sigh, mabuti ka pa, kayo pa rin ni devon... yan ang Happy Ever After mo. ako... hmmm, nagiisa, nangungulila, tuluyan nang nilisan. parang the song i need right now is Love Moves in Mysterious Ways and Someone to Watch Over Me (maganda ang version nya nito).

it's funny coz Invisible War is my favest JF song from her Collections album. I think napaos na yata si JF sa kaka-play ko ng cd. hehehe

follow it with sarah mclachlan's Angel and you've got some moody background there for a suicide.
