To My Publique...

Ugh... I'm swamped with calls, text messages, emails, etc, etc, from my adoring pulique, requesting updates about my well-being. I'm sorry if I haven't been able to reply to your overwhelming concern, but really, I've been stuck in a three-day international conference on the importance of sunblock and eyecream in your daily routine where I was keynote speaker.

So to pacify my people, I want to make a publique statement that yes, I'm as still fabulous as ever. I cannot be fazed by the current occupation of the airports in BangCock. And no, I'm not joining the rally, simply because yellow does not suit my skin tone.

The restive mood is palpable in the city indeed, but it's not my issue.

My issue is... I ran out of moisturizer yesterday. And with hardly any cabs going around the city the past two days I cannot go to my favorite high-end mall to get Creme de la Mer. Why can't Seven Eleven carry them on their shelves? Ugh. And well, my weekend trip to Maldives has to be re-scheduled. My God, I cannot even plan for my weekend anymore because of this instability in BKK. What would Silom be without me? And, and, and, there's this big, big sale this weekend. Sigh. The list of inconveniences this yellow-clad mob has brought on me is getting longer ha.

Well, the point is... I'm ok, dry skin and all.

If Thailand gets more dysfunctional, the nation's economy will collapse. Trading will cease. Stores will close. You'll get your next moisturizer tube in neighboring Bhutan. That if Jigme Wangchuck authorizes you to. Good Luck!

... learn to forgive these meandering peasants in their yellow garbs, as harboured resentment towards them will only matastasize into "stress" which will cause premature aging and damage elasticity of your skin!

... preserve your exterior beauty by peaceful means!
